Custom Embroidered Work Jackets for Construction Crews
Embroidered Carhartt-style work jackets, hi-vis safety jackets, and softshells for construction, utility, and trades crews. Company logo, crew names, and ANSI compliance options.
The short version: Custom embroidered work jackets turn a construction crew into a recognizable brand and a hi-vis crew into an ANSI-compliant one. We embroider Carhartt, hi-vis Class 2/3, and softshell jackets with company logos and individual crew names in quantities from 6 to 1,000+, with proofs in 24 hours and most orders shipping in 12–15 business days.
Every crew lead has stood at a 6:30 a.m. job-site coffee run and watched a stranger walk past five workers from three different companies who all look identical in unbranded blue insulated jackets. Custom embroidered work jackets fix that in one purchase order: the company logo on the chest, the worker’s name on the opposite panel, and a recognizable color so a foreman can spot a crew member across a 40-acre site.
This page covers what jackets to spec, ANSI hi-vis class differences, what bulk pricing actually looks like, and how to handle the seasonal reorder cycle that crews run on.
Why crews order custom embroidered work jackets
The business case for custom work jackets is simpler than it looks. A blank Carhartt-style work jacket costs $65–$85; a custom-embroidered one costs $80–$110. The $15–$25 upcharge buys you a five-year branded uniform piece that ends up in every client photo, every supplier delivery, and every job-site walk-through. For most crews, the jacket is the single most visible brand surface they own.
For hi-vis safety work, the math gets even better. ANSI Class 2 and Class 3 hi-vis jackets are legally required for road, utility, and night-shift work anyway, so adding a logo at order time is functionally free relative to OSHA compliance.
What to customize on a work jacket
| Element | Standard | Upgrade |
|---|---|---|
| Jacket style | Carhartt-style insulated | Hi-vis Class 2 or 3 (ANSI) |
| Fabric | Cotton duck, 12 oz | Ripstop polyester with waterproof shell |
| Embroidery | Logo on left chest | Logo + crew name + crew title (back panel) |
| Color | Black, brown, navy stock | Custom dyed-to-match (250+ MOQ) |
| Pockets | Standard 4-pocket | Tool-rated reinforced pockets |
| Insulation | Standard quilted lining | Sherpa-lined for cold-weather crews |
For utility crews working below 30 degrees Fahrenheit, the sherpa-lined upgrade is non-negotiable. Standard quilted lining is rated for above-freezing temperatures; sherpa-lined holds heat through a 12-hour overnight shift in winter.

ANSI hi-vis class differences
Class 2 hi-vis is for daytime road work, parking-lot work, and utility crews where vehicles move under 50 mph. Class 3 is for night work and high-speed roadway work. Both are ANSI 107-2020 compliant, both carry reflective tape, but Class 3 carries more reflective area and is the legal requirement for most night-shift utility and DOT contracts.
For embroidery on hi-vis jackets, we place the company logo on the non-reflective shoulder panel so we don’t reduce the visible reflective area below ANSI minimums.
Production timeline and seasonal planning
Standard production on custom embroidered work jackets is 12–15 business days after art approval, plus 3–5 days transit. The fall ordering window (August–October) stretches that to 18–22 business days because every crew in the country is ordering at the same time.
Lock artwork in late July for an early-November delivery. Rush production (7–9 business days) is available on quantities under 100.
EHS procurement and net-30
Most custom work jacket orders come through a corporate EHS or procurement department. We accept POs from Fortune 5000 procurement teams, public utilities, municipal contractors, and recognized GCs with net-30 terms after the first paid order.
Sizing and the crew-roster reorder pattern
Construction crews turn over — especially seasonally. Order 10–15 percent extra in your most common sizes (L, XL) as a hiring buffer. Most crews reorder 15–25 percent of their initial run between November and February for new hires.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for custom work jackets?
6 pieces. Below that, the embroidery setup cost makes the unit price impractical.
Are these ANSI hi-vis compliant?
Yes — we offer ANSI Class 2 and Class 3 jackets that meet ANSI/ISEA 107-2020. Compliance statements are available on every order.
Can we add crew member names?
Yes — individual name embroidery on the chest or back panel adds about $6–$9 per jacket. Send us a roster and we’ll embroider each jacket.
Do you offer hi-vis variants beyond Class 2 / 3?
Yes — we stock Class E hi-vis pants, Class 1 vests, and FR (flame-resistant) jackets for utility and energy crews.
Can we mix jacket styles in one order?
Yes — many crews split between Carhartt-style (general construction) and hi-vis (road and utility work) in the same purchase order.
How does the embroidery hold up under heavy wear?
The polyester thread we use is rated for 400+ wash cycles. The jacket fabric fails before the embroidery does.
Do you ship to job sites?
Yes. We can ship to job-site addresses, corporate warehouses, or directly to worker home addresses for remote crews.
Ready to lock in a quote?
Send your crew count, your trade, and a rough version of your logo. We’ll come back with a written quote, an embroidered proof, and a hard delivery date inside 24 hours.
Pricing ranges are estimates based on current production costs and confirmed in writing on every quote. Lead times are measured in business days after art approval and can vary during peak fall ordering season (August–October).
